Hi,

when booting the PVE 7.1 ISO from an USB stick the ISO cannot be found:

In the end it bails out with the error: no device with valid ISO found, please check your installation medium.

This is already the second USB stick tried.

A Debian 11 installation on the same machine works without issues.

We did install Proxmox on top of Debian 11 and then rewrote the USB stick with dd from there.

On the next machine it worked flawlessly.
different hardware or the same?

I have no idea how it failed the first time.
how did you write the usb the first time?

That was on the same hardware. How the USB stick was written in the first time is beyond my knowledge as it was prepared by my customer before the workshop started.

The error was just odd that it was able to boot but then not find the rest of the ISO. Strange things happen.
