Dell poweredge 2950 network driver?

What driver do i need for a net extreme 2 for pve-kernel-2.6.32-6 ?

I have tried a few from a Debian website and the dell website but I get a "cannot read binary file" error or "fail on line x" is there something I'm doing wrong?

I'm sure i was doing something wrong, it would still be nice to know, but...
i got the network up, in the bios i turned off both NIC cards and started proxmox, then shutdown again and enabbled the No. 2 card instead of No. 1 and now its working

Hi Mark,

I have a Dell PE 2950 under Proxmox 1.x from quite a long time now. I did nothing peculiar, it worked out of the box.

Here is the NIC model from lspci :
05:00.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme II BCM5708 Gigabit Ethernet (rev 12)

At least, eth0 and eth1, the two ports I use are working correctly...

the error was "Eth0 copper unplugged" if i remember correctly, and i was unable to ping anything

we have Broadcom BCM5708C NetXtreme II GigE (NDIS VBD Client) (copied from its twin)

I had another odd issue, dns wasn't working for apt-get so i did a "nano /etc/resolv.conf" the information was correct and i tried "apt-get update" again after checking and it worked? I will leave it with NIC 2 and just hope nothing else strange happens
