DELL PERC H750 advice

Hi have not tried H750 sorry, but I am using H720P in all my servers, 14 Dell R620 and the Perc works ok.
I do not see any reason why it should not as long as the linux kernel recognizes it, in any case.
 
Hi i have DELL PERC H750 on DELL R540, and it is recognized but dont show SMART status on drives. Any idea why ?
 
The H750 is a hardware raid controller so even when set to jbod mode, it doesn't present the drives directly to the operating system - so you won't see any SMART status. Not recommended for use with ZFS. Doesn't look like it can be re-flashed to IT-Mode as far as I can tell.
