Hi All

I am trying to install Proxmox on a Dell Inc. OptiPlex 7010 PC, but am having difficulty. I have tried using Ventoy, but, whilst the installer boots, it ends in a ‘Wrong Proxmox ID’ error, on whatever computer I have tried it on.

I have followed the instructions for ‘Instructions for GNU/Linux’, to create a bootable USB, at the following web page:

https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/chapter-pve-installation.html

And the installer boots and appears to be working properly on two of the computers that I have tried it on but it does not seem to be recognising the USB device on the Dell OptiPlex 7010.

As far as I can tell, the Dell OptiPlex 7010, is compatible with Proxmox, but I cannot work out why it works on two computers, but not the Dell. Here is an outline of what I have tested:

Computer
Ventoy USB
Proxmox VE Installer image on USB
B450-A PRO Motherboard
AMD Ryzen 3 2200G with Radeon Vega Graphics
Installer boots but get ‘Wrong Proxmox ID’ error.
Boots and installer appears to work (but I do not want to install it here).
IdeaPad Flex 5 16 Laptop (AMD version)
Installer boots but get ‘Wrong Proxmox ID’ error.
Boots and installer appears to work (but I do not want to install it here).
Dell Inc. OptiPlex 7010
Intel Core i5 3570 CPU @ 3.40GHz x 4
Installer boots but get ‘Wrong Proxmox ID’ error.
Cannot boot, does not recognise USB device in BIOS, even though it is viewable and accessible in the currently installed Ubuntu, on the PC.

If anyone can provide any insight, it would be appreciated?

Thanks
