Dell HBA330 12GB supported?

Is this PERC HBA330 12GB Controller Minicard supported in Proxmox?

Would like to be sure before I spend lots of money on the server R730

IF it works with Debian 8 then i dont see this as a problem. But why are you not going with a perc H730 raid controller instead?

Should work out of the box with current kernels.

Why HBA and not RAID? ZFS is nice and needs full access to the disks (and no RAID0 or whatever)

Thanks - I plan to use ZFS, so no need for hardware raid controller

You have to take in mind that the server will use a lot more memory if you going on with ZFS.

I plan to use 256GB of memory and having 5-10VMs various OS - we can agree HBA is the way to go running ZFS correct?

3-4TB SSD, 6TB spinning disks

then it should works good but you have to remember that 12GB raidcontroller vs HBA if there is just a few drives added the raid controller will win the battle.
