Deleting a VM by mistake - How to recover it

Hello,

I deleted a VM by mistake from the web GUI...
I no longer have a backup of this virtual machine.
It contains very important data.

Do you have a solution to recover this virtual machine or the virtual disk?

Currently I'm running a photorec but it doesn't seem to find my deleted disk when I do 'find -name "*disk*"'

Excuse me if i'm probably making mistakes in english, i'm french.

It probably isn't fully recoverable. But people here might be able to provide more help if you gave more details. Specifically, what kind of storage was it on? Was it ZFS, lvm-thin, ext4, or something else?

for future forensic/recovery it is important, that you stop write access to the disks involved.

so stop the storage or pve host. depending on your storagetype and filesystems there are different tools to recover deleted files.

if the data is important you should consult professional data-recovery experts. the service is not that expensive. there several very good in Austria and I'm sure in FR too
