I have a PCI card used to interfacing with telephony hardware, and I'd like to somehow allocate it to a specific VM. It would be easier if I could allocate it to a KVM VM, but an OpenVZ VM could possibly work as well.

Is there a way to do this? Is it documented somewhere?

best regards,
Andy

I have almost the same question

I use KVM to create the VM, and I would like to add an E1 Card(Digium) phisically so i create a VM and the card is assigned to this VM.
In others words I want to virtualize an Asterisk PBX

Is there any steps or some guide in order to make it ???

Greetings,
Thanks in advance

Actually Tom - is this the same method used for hooking USB devices directly to VM's? Is there provision for USB devices in KVM?

using USB devices in KVM guests works - but needs to be configured on the command line (search this forum for howto, and see 'man qm')
