Hi guys,

I'm using the ovz default packages of debian squeeze.
Code:
ii linux-image-2.6.32-5-openvz-amd64 2.6.32-45 Linux 2.6.32 for 64-bit PCs, OpenVZ support
ii vzctl 3.0.24-12 server virtualization solution - control tools
ii vzdump 1.2.6-1 OpenVZ backup scripts
ii vzquota 3.0.12-3 server virtualization solution - quota tools

because of problems running ubuntu 12 under this version i plan to switch to proxmox.
Do you have any experience what happens when i try to install proxmox in a running debian ovz enviroment.
What happens with vz configs an virtual machines ?

poweroff your containers, do vzdump backups of all container and vzrestore them after the upgrade. or move the vm config files manually, if you know what you are doing.
after vzrestore, adapt ram and vswap settings via gui. afaik debian do not support vswap so you need this additional step here.
