Debian LXC and Graphical user interface

Hi, It is possible to install for example XFCE and use graphical user interface ? I'm trying to install xfce4 throw apt-get but it wouldn't start. What should I do to run it ?

Not directly, container are different.

But you can install for example a Debian 8 LXC container with XFCE4 and x2go, then you can access the full XFCE desktop via the x2go client - available for several OS (Mac, Windows, Linux).

for LXC afaik yes (Tom's statement).
For KVM you can still do it.
