Debian buster kvm virtual machines created with default settings from the graphical interface
have problem initializing urandom, causing slow boot time and in some cases even services to fail at startup.
This problem has been described here:
wiki.debian.org/BoottimeEntropyStarvation
Since as my understanding of this problem the cause is just the latest linux kernels this problem will recur
more and more often as newer kernel will be used.
My temporary solution has been to install haveged on the guest but on other softwares such us virt-manager this is not needed as you can add virto_rng from graphical interface, which is also the solution advised from Debian.
Will it be possible to add virtio_rng from interface or maybe add it as default on linux vms?
Is there in alternative a better solution than installing haveged that also does not require me to manually change
options of the startup of every single vm?
