Hi,
Currently looking into converting to ZFS for replication and have HA for certain VMs. I currently run Proxmox 8 on Debian 12 and is running good. The next stage I am looking at is to install Debian 12 on ZFS on my 2nd server which only has one disk available currently, and then Proxmox 8. Is this possible, better performance and good stability ?
Regards,
Mike

Debian does not come with ZFS, so this looks both difficult and convoluted (by first installing Debian in an unsupported setup and then Proxmox). Why not install (the latest) Proxmox VE directly on the 2nd server?

ok after a looking into it, I have have all proxmox installs running on bare metal now. Was a straight forward migration as backing up and restoring the containers and VMs made it easy. There was one container where I had to create just the basic VM and then imported the old image which worked perfectly too.
Thanks for the suggestions and ideas.
