DB disk and WAL disk on the same OSD is a bad idea?

Doing like the screenshot below is bad?

I'm using only nvme drives with the same specs, not using a separate db/wal disk or partition could create problems in the future?

I'm asking because I'm already using Ceph with this setup and multiple drives have failed at once. Even though smart seems fine (the test is below).

The same drive looks fine on web GUI and in HPE ILO, also on a Windows host. (The drive is new as you can see).

But I get many errors like this in the syslog, so i'm wondering who's wrong and who's not.
