Hello,

I am wondering if we can have a datastore within another datastore, or a directory with a datastore? because I want to have a structure like below:
Backups:
  1. SRV-NAME1
    1. VM1
    2. VM2
    3. VMx
  2. SRV-NAME2
    1. VM1
    2. VM2
    3. VMx
Thanks,

@itNGO thanks for your help.
I am using NFS storage and I am able to create as much ash Datastores I want. For example I already have a datastore called "Backups"

Then I want to create 2 sub directories or let say sub-datastores within the one which called "Backups" so that I can separate my VMs with a proper naming and same structure that I have I reality.

I want to know if your case was similar to what I am thinking of?

Again thank you so much for your help.

Yes, I made multiple Datastores on the same ZFS-Pool to separate clusters/tenants or just to prevent double-VM-IDs from different Proxmox-Servers. In the latest versions there are also so called "Namespaces" which are like folders on the same Datastore.
