Datacenter Manager integration with Zabbix Template

Hi,

Currently I'm monitoring my Proxmox nodes using the Proxmox VE by HTTP template in Zabbix. I'm wondering if there is anyway to integrate this template with Data Center Manager? I tried applying this template on the VM running DCM itself but no luck getting it to work. Maybe I need to preprocess the data somehow?

At the moment, I’m not aware of a straightforward way to use the Zabbix “Proxmox VE by HTTP” template directly with Proxmox Datacenter Manager.

When you say you applied the template to the VM running Datacenter Manager, could you share a bit more about how you tried it?

If you are already using Zabbix to monitor Proxmox, I’m not sure there is much benefit in moving that part into Datacenter Manager. To me, Datacenter Manager seems more useful for centralized access and operations, while Zabbix is still stronger for monitoring, alerting, and broader visibility.

I have a Proxmox node get this template - and it auto discover the rest of the cluster. Issue is that I have 2 clusters so have to do it twice. I was thinking of simplyfing this via PDCM since it does have access to the clusters. But it looks like I have to come up with a way to gather the info from PDCM since the template works with Prxmox VE node only.
