Hi,
I have setup a Proxmox 8.1.4 host on a Dell server with 2 SSDs for the OS running RAID1 and 6 SSDs for the VMs ZFS RAIDZ-1. However after a few weeks running I am now getting a daily email stating -
Device: /dev/sdf [SAT], 1 Currently unreadable (pending) sectors
Device info:
SSDSC2KG960G7R, S/N:BTYM73100GJ4960CGN, WWN:5-5cd2e4-14de5f5a3, FW:SCV1DL5C, 960 GB
Ive done some reading and it's a mixed bag of your drive is going to die to suppressing the message to overwriting the block on the drive. I have checked the value for Reallocated_Sector_Ct which is currently 8, that hasn't increased nor has the Currently Unreadable (pending) sectors.
It seems this message does not go away until the block is eventually overwritten/reallocated or something?
Everything else is 'green' across the GUI.
What is the best way to clear this message? Hit wipe drive in the GUI and it does a full wipe which then it will resilver the drive again or pull the drive and then let it resilver after pushing it back in?
Im not sure about suppressing it because if it gets worse then I wouldn't get an email alert?
Thanks
