Hello,
Ia have a 3 node cluster of Proxmox 6.1.7 with CEPH 14.2.6. When I create a backup of a CT with mode "Stop" it works correctly. If I create that backup using mode "Snapshot", nearly 90% of the time I get an ERROR: "Cannot stat: Structure needs cleaning".
I know that I could set some exclusions in /etc/vzdump.conf but I dont like that workaround because the exclusions are shared among all the CT of the cluster and I might exclude something that must be backed up in another CT.
AFAIK, CEPH snapshots do not freeze nor quiesce nor flush the filesystem running over the RBD image on their own. On VM's, I use the qemu-guest-agent which does quiesce the filesystem and snapshots. There is no agent for CT.
How can I quiesce/flush the filesystem so a snapshot backup with CEPH storage works correctly?
How can I run a script inside the CT before the snapshot is taken to try to quiesce/flush the filesystem just before the snapshot?
Why Proxmox VZdump does not do all this on its own?
Thanks a lot.
