Greetings. I have two server with proxmox vms on both. I want to make a cluster out of them. One of the servers has 10 virtual machines on it, other one is empty. I am concerned how would first server behave in thet scenario. Will my virtual machines be erased? Or they will remein intact?

Although PVE does not have "master" role in the cluster, it is important that you join the _empty_ node to your active node. Not the other way around.

So what bbgeek17 is telling you:
First Create a Cluster on the node that is already populated with guests, & then on the empty node perform a Join node to Cluster.
But original statement appears contradictory/misleading:

Could you please explain why the node that joins has to be empty? What would happen if it wouldn't be empty? Thanks!
Any virtual resources on it would be wiped (not the vdisks, the configuration.)
I specifically linked the wiki in my above post that explains what happens to a node that joins a cluster. Did you bother to read?
