Creating storage at node level

Hi,

When creating a new storage location in a cluster, I am trying to understand the reasoning behind this creation taking place at datacenter level rather than at node level.

I'm sure it's for the best for reasons I don't understand, but in my case running a personal cloud, it means I have to have drives at the same mount point on both my nodes for this to make sense.

Would be good to understand where to read about this design decision, and whether this can be adjusted so that storage locations can be attached to just one node.

Thanks!

yes

if u create a montpoint in the gui for a node, you can mark "Add Storage" checkbox -> this generate a cluster storage only for this node, if the mountpoint doesn't exist on other nodes. U can adjust this setting at the line "Nodes" in the entry under cluster storage
