Hello!

I know this gets asked from time to time (I have searched!) but the answers are usually a bit inconclusive and nobody ever comes back to say "that worked!" so I'm going to ask to be sure, because if I get this wrong I am in a world of hurt.

I have an existing standalone server, PVE04. I would like to set up a cluster and add a new physical server, PVE05, and another virtual server on another cluster so we can have quorum (I only have 5 physical machine and need to set up two separate clusters) The very important question is : if i configure the cluster initially on PVE04, will I lose the VMs already there?

I know adding a server to a cluster will wipe out the VM configs; will the same happen when I first set up a new cluster? I've always felt that when you set up a cluster, you're efectively adding the first server as part of the process - if anyone who has done this can tell me either way I would be most appreciative.
