Running a brand new install of proxmox vr on an HP Pavilion g7 and did a "apt-get update" followed by "apt-get dist-upgrade" and all is good.
I am trying to install my first VM ever. I am very new to this so please keep that in mind with your answers.
I have an ubuntu 18.04.4 iso file on a USB stick. I plugged the USB stick into the machine that is running Proxmox VR and mount it to /media/root/USB1.
I then click on Create Virtual Machine button. In the name box i put testubuntu and click on next.
On the OS screen I have "Use CD/DVD disc image file (iso)" selected. When I put the iso file name into the "ISO image" box nothing happens and I never get the "Next" box to become clickable. I have tried putting in the complete path to the file and even tried copying the iso file to roots home directory. nothing seems to let me go to the next step.
Where do I have to put the iso file so that the system sees it and I can go to the next step?
The "Storage" box on this screen says "local". The only directory I know of in Linux that has the name local is /usr/local, is that were I need to put the iso file?
Any and all help is appreciated.
The full name of the iso file is "ubuntu-18.04.4-desktop-amd64.iso"
