hey there,
im trying to set up my proxmox server, which is running a couple of VMs, so backups can be made automatically on external drives.
i have 5 external drives (labeled from monday to friday) and i want them to be connected to the server on the corresponding day of the week.
proxmox should run backups of its VMs automatically on a specific hour, like in the middle of the night (externals will be switched in the morning).
now i tried the following:
i created a directory on my server, using an external drive as disk. then i ran a backup. as soon as i unplug the external and plug it back in, proxmox refuses to recognize the directory
"unable to activate storage... directory is expected to be a mount point but is not mounted..."
also i have no idea how to see the backup i made. as soon as i delete the directory and create it again (on that same disk), it is empty.
probably im stuck in some windows-thinking-patterns.
is there a way to achieve what i want to do?
thank you!
