Create mount at the Node level OK?

I created a mount to my NAS in one of my containers, and it works great. But now I have added another container to the node and it will need the same mount. I am wondering if it would have been better to have created the mount at the node level rather than in each container. Is that OK? If I do that, will the mount indeed be available to any container/VM on that node? What's the "proxmox way"?

I think I do need to clarify, this is a SMB share for media (video and music), not a share for Proxmox. The share will be used by the apps in the containers and VMs.

Is that OK?
No, it's absolutely not okay. This is not the job of the hypervisor and simply makes your infrastructure extremely vulnerable to attacks or makes future updates and upgrades more difficult.

What's the "proxmox way"?
It's not so much the Proxmox was as the basics in IT. Various services and tasks should not run on "one operating system". Each system should take on a task, and these systems can be adapted and optimized; targeted and proper backups and monitoring can be done. If the web server has a security hole, the database or AD is not immediately affected.

But now I have added another container to the node and it will need the same mount.
Then mount it, I don't see any problem with it.
