3. Servers:
* Proxmox Backup
* Proxmox VE 1 with network card and 4 1GB ports
* Proxmox VE 2 with network card and 4 1GB ports

Leave the gateway empty for that extra connection. The gateway can exist only once and should probably stay like it is because you probably want all other traffic to stay like before.
Keep in mind that the network that you enter may not exist before. And the hosts will find themselves if they are all in the same subnet, also without a gateway.
After you set it up, it's important to create the PBS entry with the new local address or else the public address would still be used.
