Hi,
I'd like to create a Salix OS container (Slackware based, https://salixos.org/). Therefore I need to create a container template first, but I have no idea how to do it.

Actually I've thought I basically can just create a tar.gz of the root file system, add some description/config files and then build a template from it. But I cannot find the right instructions.

Note: I'm new to LXC.

hi,

you can pretty much just create an archive of the rootfs like you said, and then use it as the container template.

in case of using with proxmox, the 'ostype' would have to be 'unmanaged' in case of slackware (because we don't officially support it, which means you might not be able to do some things).
