create a failover cluster

Good afternoon. Can you please tell me how to create a failover cluster of 2 nodes? If I understand correctly, then you need to add another machine as storage? Or can I somehow synchronize without 3 machines?

you need 3 hosts + 1 shared storage (or replicated local-zfs) to use the proxmox HA feature.

This might be a small computer like a Raspberry Pi or something like a VM (or Container) on a non-Cluster computer like NAS. It needs only very low computer power but it needs to be "online" 24*7 .
