Hello

i have question about CPU
i bought a i7-9700K "Coffee Lake", 8x 3.6GHz (4.9GHz)
belived a i3 is old and i7 would be better!
it was a mistake my board don't like the i7!

so the question what is the difference

Core i7-9700K "Coffee Lake", 8x 3.6GHz (4.9GHz)
Core i3-9100F 3.6GHz, 6MB Cache, LGA 1151, 9th Gen
Xeon E-2146G 3.5GHz execpt this has 6 Core
?
and would a
Xeon E-2146G be much better or for what would it be better against a i3-9100F?

thanks for your feedback
allways happt to learn something new
vinc

Can you Provide a Picture of the Motherboard or the Name?

It can be a lot of things that gone wrong... Maybe it's just a Bios Update ... Or you have the wrong chipset or even socket or the Board simply do not support that CPU ... Kind regards,

@flixhost
it is a SuperMicro X11SCL-LN4F - and it is not mentioned to be OK for the i7 - and support of supermicro say no it want work - i just try to understand the difference of the i7 it is not working
on Friday i found a cheap Core i3-9100F 3.6GHz, 6MB Cache, LGA 1151, 9th Gen
this works not for more then 48h with not problems, so basicly the problem is solved - i just curious about the difference
