Hi,

can anyone tell me which are the best settings for a Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1220 v6 @ 3.00GHz.

Currently I am using the default processor settings (kvm64). Are there any better options?

CPU type kvm64 has the most common set of CPU features and makes migration between nodes and especially node CPU types easier. With CPU type host you get the most out of the hosts CPU with the constraint of possibly not being able migrate.
