I've had a hell of a time modifying my first Proxmox 8.0.3 installation. I need to build another Proxmox installation, but don't remember every mod/edit I had to do with the first installation. Can I clone the first installation's disk, pop that clone disk into the 2nd server, fire up Proxmox and simply change the IP address, hostname and remove copied VMs to have a good, 2nd Proxmox installation?? Or do I have to start from scratch and do a fresh install of Proxmox?

Hi,
yes, as long as you did not cluster the Proxmox VE host yet or installed Ceph you should be able to rather straight forwardly adapt the host from a cloned disk image.
Note however that due to hardware changes because of the new machine you might also need updates to e.g. NIC names, device IDs, ecc.
For renaming the host you can follow https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Renaming_a_PVE_node.

What changes are we talking about here? You have to check if these need adoption as well.
