Converting Big VMDK's

Hi All,

Very new to Proxmox so still trying to get my bearings. I have a very large VMDK I am trying to get onto my Proxmox host but it exceeds the size of /tmp. I am very new to LVM in general so I know I am missing something obvious, I am just looking for the best place to put this VMDK for conversion.

make it available via some sort of network share (or if nothing else is available, something like sshfs) and use qm importdisk to import it into an existing VM as unused disk.
