Hello,

I want to be able to use a physical keyboard with Proxmox VE on my iPad (running iPadOS latest). When I open a console session to an LXC container (or the node console) I can’t perform a Control+C to do shell interrupts. The shell acts like I hit the return key for a new line.

I tried using Chrome to see if the behavior was different, but it does the exact same thing.

Would this need an iOS software change, or a PVE change? If PVE, how could I get this working?

Thanks

hi,

to me it sounds like maybe the ctrl key from your ipad is not recognized correctly in the browser/console??

you can try this though:

in the novnc console there's an option to toggle ctrl key

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately the LXC consoles use another type of connection, so I don’t have that menu

on top right there's a 'Console' menu where you can pick noVNC and it should popup a new window with this menu and the console

Hi.

Sorry for this mid off topic, but I’m not able to connect to the nodes or vms shell from my iPad pro with Safari. I get a black screen. I’m trying with noVNC option.

Do I have to install something to have this working?

Thank you!

I finally got the solution. I had to trust the proxmox node certification in order to have the noVNC console opened and connected.
