Hi,

in a fresh PVE installation (3.0-0428106c-13) I downloaded several templates (centos-6-standard, centos-5-standard and ubuntu-8.04-standard) and created containers based on these templates. For networking I chose bridged mode.

None of the containers boots properly. They seem to stop at a certain point w/o apparent error message (checked the various logs in the PVE GUI). See the two screenshots for the console output of the CentOS5 and the Ubuntu container:
pve3-centos5-bootfailure.pngpve3-ubuntu-bootfailure.png

Also there is no error message when booting from the commandline:

Code:
 # vzctl start 102
Starting container ...
Container is mounted
Setting CPU units: 1000
Setting CPUs: 1
Configure veth devices: veth102.0
Adding interface veth102.0 to bridge vmbr0 on CT0 for CT102
Container start in progress...
#

Where can I find more debugging information regarding this booting problem?

I see no error but see http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/OpenVZ_Console

To see the difference, test a Debian template from us as here the console works out of the box.

if you need centos, grab latest from OpenVZ team and follow our wiki for the console.
