hey everyone, i was playing around with proxmox for a few hours today and noticed a few things...

1. all the processes / load avg's of the VM's (Containers) is shown on the main host, is there anyway to prevent this so that say, VM 101 can only use 20% of the cpu and VM102 can only use 40% etc? or am i missing the idea behind "Containers"

2. the cpu im using is an Intel Celeron 2.4ghz 64-bit dual core, but Proxmox will only allow me to set 1 cpu in a Container setup AND i can only use containers, am i missing something as to why i cannot use the other VM types?

Thanks for the info everyone!

in the current OpenVZ version (for 2.6.24 Kernel) there is no possibility to do this. As soon as the OpenVZ team implemented this, we will also made this available in Proxmox VE.

if you want to use KVM VM´s, your CPU needs Intel VT or AMD-V.
(see http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Installation)

Intel Celerons does not have VT support, so you can only use containers.
