Hello, I have physical server with Proxmox VE 6 installed with some VMs , connected via router.
I not understand how to connect to VMs from anywhere, i can connect via local network only.
For example my IP is 192.168.1.100, I know that i need to forward port for connecting from other devices via my public IP from provider, but i get forever "Connection refused"
Can you help me with this ?

Are you trying to connect to the VM through ssh or a VNC type server running on the VM? What exactly have you setup? The more details you can provide the better.

I have setup both types of remote connections before but have recently switched to a VPN server running on pfSense which allows my remote devices (laptop, cell, tablet) to access resources on the network just as if I was connected locally.

I have not tried to setup a solution where I access the noVNC that is part of Proxmox directly without having to use the Proxmox web GUI to start the session.

Hello, I have Debian installed on VM with working ssh and tightvncserver installed. I can connect to VM in local network(from webgui, via ssh and via vnc), but I want to have possibility to connect to VM from other network, remotely.
I’m not found good guide how to install and configure OpenVPN server. How I said my server is connected via router and I think it’s big problem.
You said about pfSense but at this moment I’m not understand how this can resolve my problem.
