Connect Proxmox to Ceph RBD pools

Hello!

I would like to connect a Proxmox cluster to an existing Ceph cluster in order to use the RBD pools there. When using the dashboard Proxmox wants to initialise its own Ceph cluster. How can I skip this? Or do I configure the pools directly in /etc/ceph/?

you can add an RBD storage directly in 'Datacenter -> Storage -> Add RBD'
just make sure you place the client keyring in the correct place see https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#ceph_rados_block_devices
