maybe you misunderstood...
I had previously installed ProxMox, it broke, I installed a new one ProxMox to a new memory card...
On the old one ProxMox there were folders with virtual disk files (dev/sda dev/sda1)
how do i add the old folder to the new one ProxMox... without losing the information that is stored on it

Utilize fstab to mount disk on boot to a path of your liking, ie /mnt/data:
https://acloudguru.com/hands-on-labs/configure-etc-fstab-to-persistently-mount-a-file-system

Add Directory type storage pointing to the path where your disks are located, ie /mnt/data/var/lib/vz/
https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Storage:_Directory

Make sure to use option below to avoid surprises:
--is_mountpoint <string> (default = no)
Assume the given path is an externally managed mountpoint and consider the storage offline if it is not mounted. Using a boolean (yes/no) value serves as a shortcut to using the target path in this field.
