Complete new web interface (new javascript framework, RIA)

Proxmox VE 2.x series will come with a new interface, using a framework (but not zkoss).

When is the planned 2.0 release ?

I came to the Roadmap, but no details. Few years waiting for the new interface and better monitoring of resources. New versions of the truth to come out at 2.0 is coming, but maybe sooner I will give a
branch. Maybe by chance you like it.

maybe I did not understand you correctly - you developed already a new GUI for the 1.x series? any details?

I want and I can do it. But I did not yet.

But before I begin work I wonder what plans do you have associated with it. Framework elected? API? Anything?
Whether it is in the process: for eg. two years we plan to issue a new interface, but yet we do not think about it.

If I write it: zk + python/perl/lua (IMHO better than GWT)

yes, we have already a cool prototype (and we have a API) and we will publish everything with the first 2.x alpha/beta - but there is no ETA but there are some rumors that it could happen end of Q1/2011.

Are you able to give any details of the underlining WUI/API languages so I know if I will be able to contribute to the 2.x system?

A simple RESTfull API. We will use ExtJS for the UI.
