Compatible PCI SATA controller board

Want to add sata Hard drive, and need additional SATA port.

Can anyone recommend a proxmox-compatible pci-e SATA controller board ? all 4 SATA ports of my mb are populated.

Any Linux compatible controller board will work with PVE.

Thanks - I guess I found that not all SATA boards are Linux=compatible. Was wondering if anyone can suggest one that they know works in a Linux environment.

I haven't seen any commercial enterprise RAID product that was not working in Linux - as long as it is "real" raid not "fake" raid.

Thanks - will pour through the list -- my needs are humble - just want to add a 5th HD to a ProxMox box which has all 4 sata ports occupied...
