Cluster upgrade from 4.4 to 5.0

Hello,

I currently have a 3 nodes HA cluster with VE 4.4 and wanted to know how to safely upgrade nodes to 5.0 without breaking the cluster.

-> Should I simply upgrade one node at a time, after the upgrade, the node will simply come back online in the cluster ? Then I repeat the operation for the other 2 nodes ?

Yes, move all VMs away (e.g. live migrate) and do the upgrade from the empty node, reboot. If all is up again - the updated node should integrate without issues - move VMs to the upgrade nodes (live-migrate should work). Do the same for the next nodes.

If you use Ceph, more steps are needed but also possible.
