I am sorry you feel that way, I felt like you were trying to make the system designed for something else work really hard in unintended ways, my questions were above were literally that - I wondered if you plan to e.g. secure migrations in other ways than provided HA then, etc.

Also, I am not afraid to say you have a use case (perfectly fine that you want to have a cold spare) where PVE is the wrong solution.

Thank you too, I was aware of him probably not reading the response, but I figured the reply might help someone else going down the same rabbithole. The only way not to have to end up learning from your own mistakes is to learn from those of other people. So tried to extend that, but either way, lessons will be learnt.
