Hello,

I have 3 Roots which are working as a Cluster.
I have changed on every Root the IPs of those.

Since this change, I cant do anything.... only stop and start of the VM´s are possible.

I can only see one of the 3 Nodes that is online. The other two are offline... Before changing the IP this problem wasn´t.
When I want to start a VM on Node1, I must login into the Interface of Node1... If I want to start a VM on Node2, I must login on Node2 and so on....

When I want to change a VM the Message is:
unable to open file '/etc/pve/nodes/NODE2/qemu-server/103.conf.tmp.509579' - Permission denied (500)

When I want to add a new VM the Message is:
cluster not ready - no quorum? (500)

What can I do ?

I hope someone can help me :)

Thank you

Hello mir,

thank you for your fast reply....
I really forget it.
I have added the new IP onn each file there

then I have make the command
/etc/init.d/networking restart

But the problem is still there

ok, I will try it now

I have change the Ips in the hosts and all V-server dont have anymore Internet Connection :(

I hope the reboot of the whole Root will fix it

ok, perfect !!!!

All nodes are green....

but when I want to go with the Console in a VM, I must be logged in the Interface where the VM is installed.
It dont work when I am on an other Node logged in.
You know what I mean ?

Sorry for my bad English :(

If you login to each node through ssh and then try to ssh to some of the other nodes what happens then?

Eg.

node1
node2
node3

ssh root@node1

When logged in on node1

ssh node2

hmm, this wont work.

the message is:

root@Node1:~# ssh root@NODE2
ssh: Could not resolve hostname Node2: Name or service not known

Ok, this is Node1:
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
xx.xx.xx.15 GF.SYS6.TI GF pvelocalhost

# The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts

::1 ip6-localhost ip6-loopback
fe00::0 ip6-localnet
ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix
ff02::1 ip6-allnodes
ff02::2 ip6-allrouters
ff02::3 ip6-allhosts

and this Node2:
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
xx.xx.xx.16 GF.SYS10.TI GF2 pvelocalhost

# The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts

::1 ip6-localhost ip6-loopback
fe00::0 ip6-localnet
ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix
ff02::1 ip6-allnodes
ff02::2 ip6-allrouters
ff02::3 ip6-allhosts

xx stand for the IP

You mean this ?

Hello mir,

the output is

root@GF:~# ping GF.SYS10.TI
ping: unknown host GF.SYS10.TI
root@GF:~# ping GF2
ping: unknown host GF2

If pinging the hosts fails no cluster communication will work. For reasons unknown to me it seems that your nodes does not use their hosts files

Hello mir,

ok, I will have a look what happens...

The strange thing is that nothing has changed other than just the IPs

I have send you a friendship request
