Hello everyone,
We are currently reviewing Proxmox VE from an operational/security perspective, and would like to confirm the current behavior of Web UI sessions.
Specifically, does Proxmox VE provide any built-in functionality to automatically terminate or log out a Web UI session after a defined period of user inactivity?
I have already searched the Proxmox documentation and forum, and I found some older forum discussions indicating that the Web UI login ticket is valid for around 2 hours, and that while the Web UI tab remains open it may re-authenticate automatically in the background.
Based on the other comments in the thread, it seems like this duration may not be a configurable setting?
However, I would like to confirm whether this is still the current behavior in Proxmox VE 9.x.
