Choosing between different devices ??

Hello,I write about how to PVE in Bulgarian and I have come to learn about installing a VM.I can not find information on what is the difference between IDE and VIRTIOand who preferably as parameters - speed, stability?What is the difference between the RAW, QCOW2 as speed and stability for virtuall hdd?To select a processor for me is even more difficult to choose the right one.What are your recommendations on this issue.By choosing intl which is seesaw KVM32(64), Qume32(64), Host, a Phenom(this is the real processor - AMD Phenom 9550).

The best option for your questions is the document "best practices for KVM", desenvolved by IBM. This explain you around devices (hArd-disk, memory, processors) from KVM.

KVM is a Fully virtulization mode of PROMOX, and all tips from this document works to PROMOX.
