choosing a router or switch for promox cluster

The AT&T router we have is not suitable for our use cluster. AT&T recommends using a router or switch that doesn't enforce DHCP the way the router they supply does. Just so I don't have to re-invent the wheel, what hardware does everyone recommend? We are on a tight tight budget, as a Non-Profit, so price vs service is certainly a consideration! :DThanks, in advance, for any considerations. Ric
 
Lot of really depends on the kind of setup you have. But for a basic Proxmox setup you can run everything using a single Gigabit switch. For a Non-Profit i know budget is extremely tight and the following setup should work great for your environment. Again, this is just a basic setup without knowing much details of your setup:

AT&T Modem > pfSense Firewall using just about any very old computer > Netgear 24 Port Gigabit Switch(Smart Switch is preferred) > Proxmox Cluster
