Thnx in advance

hi,

No, OpenVZ needs ext3, other filesystems like XFS are not recommended and tested from the OpenVZ project.

Is this changed in the meantime since we have openvz running on xfs and would like to have proxmox support this..

no change. In future, Proxmox VE 2.x will support multiple storages for containers and VM´s - therefore you can add local or remote storage with xfs (if you accept the shortcomings of xfs together with OpenVZ)
