changing the harddisk of a vm after qmrestore using proxmox api

Hi I am trying to detatch and attach a new harddisk to a VM after it being restored from a backup image using the proxmox API but the problem I have is I cant seem to find a way to get the status of the qmrestore task and when it is finished and then attach the new harddisk what can I do?

Usually, you always receive a task ID, which you have to access and then query accordingly using an API request. I usually put this in a while loop and just wait 10 seconds for each request. When the task is finished, it continues.
