Hi

The question is, how to change the encryption-key for one backup?

I have two PVE servers that make backups to the same PBS but to different namespaces with different encryption-keys
For some reason, one of the PVEs broke, but there was a backup on PBS that needed to be restored.
I moved the copy to the desired namespace but when I try to restore I get an error
"proxmox-backup-client failed: Error: wrong key - unable to verify signature since manifest's key ec:c5:b2:0d:4a:8f:ac:75 does not match provided key 48:07:92:b1:c4: 20:ce:ed (500)"
I have the encryption key from the first and second PVE server

Thank you.

you cannot change the encryption key for a backup after the fact (because it's encrypted with it)

what you can do is create a seperate storage entry on pve with a different encryption key

Thank you, I did just that. I restored everything.

Thank you.
