Hi All,

Just a little question: I am currently running PBS on a VM with a NFS-Mounted backup share.

Now... if I wanted to switch from the VM to a physical server... how can I attach the old NFS Share to the new physical server without having to re-create all backups?

The least of my problems is attaching the PBS Vol to the PVE Servers - those can be easely recreated / trusted. But how can I attach the NFS Share to PBS?

Thanks
Tobias

Hi @iprigger

Did you tried running the GC on the NFS datastore?

I tried to run it, but I got the error

TASK ERROR: unable to get exclusive lock - EBADF: Bad file number

Hi

Works like a charm here... no problems (you just have to take care you set the export rights correctly on the nfs server - that‘s all...)

Just in case you‘re wondering: Working with a ZFS Image on the same NFS Server seems to be faster (but less flexible).

Hi @iprigger

thanks for the reply

so far I have this in my export config, I was using it with the traditional proxmox backup and it was fine.

/home/pbs-backup 10.1.x.x(rw,sync,no_root_squash,no_all_squash,insecure)

if you could share some knowledge would be great,

thanks a lot
