Good morning,
I have a somewhat fresh install of proxmox 8.2.2 installed from image.
I have about 10 active VMs running on it, all configured with raw disk type.

The central backup software I am trying to use is proxmox friendly, but does not like the raw disk format.
Its expecting qcow2. For reference the software is BDRsuite from vembu.

I did not see anything recent online on a way to convert file types.

Thank you for any help.

Aaron

If your VM disks are stored on LVM, you can only use the raw image format. If you prefer to use qcow2, you'll need to use a File level storage. You can find more information about this here [1]. However, if you have a File level storage, you can simply use the "Move Storage" option in the GUI under Disk Action and select the desired disk format there.
