After creating a disk. How can i change the disk driver ? I want to change it from ide to virtio. But there is no option in the "edit" tab only during creation of the disk.

You'll have to click on 'Remove' first (don't worry, it won't actually delete the disk), and then you can click edit to change it to virtio.

Afterwards, you might want to ensure the newly re-added hard drive is correctly in the boot order, by going to the "Options" tab and editing "Boot Order"

Sorry to hijack a thread.. Any words of guidance regarding doing this to Windows VMs? Drivers would be an issue if converted to VIRTIO

Ah yes. I appreciate that, but does anyone have any experience in ensuring that windows picks up these drivers when it's booted using the new virtio drives?

yes, no problem. if you are unsure, test it in a test vm or create a backup before you start changing.
