Ceph vs Vitastor

Reading lots of stuff on ceph and other distributed storage setups lately... Q: can anyone confirm or give any insight into performance or reliability or other issues with Vitastor vs Ceph? Very young project but seems to be 10x faster on some things...

Vitastor 1.9.0 was released on September 6.
It's really fast&stable Our 720Tb cluster works fine

Is there a GUI to simply click together what storage I want? Does it Hyperconverge, so I can replace running CEPH on Proxmox without any hazzle?

No, it's "CLI-only" inastallation. But you can use it from Proxmox GUI after install it.

I believe this is more or less a showstopper then for many cusomters of ProxmoxVE. Many of them want an overview of health in the webgui, to know "when" to call the experts before its to late....
